ABOUT YOUR TEACHER RACHAEL

Yoga saved my life and it is from here I am called to share this powerful practise with others. Having suffered from depression and an eating disorder as a teenager, I found loving myself challenging and my relationship with my body was quite complicated. Yoga and the many tools it offers changed that, flipped it in fact.

Though my practise began as a physical one, as I trained my body my mind followed suit and, this is how I lead my classes. To not only enjoy the physical benefits of the practise but, to create a powerful, loving and intuitive relationship with ourselves and, our bodies.

There are many ways to find peace & acceptance of the ups and downs of life. Life has lead me to find these through building a loving, trusting relationship with myself through caring for my physical body, training my subconscious mind and seeking a lifestyle that continually nourishes me.

The tools and methods that I practice and teach create both physical and emotional strength and adaptability.

Life is forever changing and being able to flow with these changes with strength, gratitude and a trust in oneself allows each moment to be an opportunity of bliss.

These classes are lead in a way that you can work at your own level and progress from there. I encourage you to chat with me before you begin so I can understand how to help and guide you. The more I know about any injuries and your hopes with your practise, the better I can guide you and help you evolve.

From a standpoint of mindfulness, we will focus on training the mind, on connecting with the body and breath and, strengthening your relationship with your body.

WHY YOGA?

This body is your home, your temple, your safe place. By learning to listen to your body, making mindful choices around food and daily habits becomes more enjoyable and intuitive.
